What we aim to achieve

This is a translation from dutch of the official Mission of Consonance vzw according to its statutes.

The association aims to promote, support, and disseminate artistic, cultural, communicative and educational activities, products and partnerships that it considers interesting in European society, both at home and abroad.

In this context, it attaches importance, inter alia, to promoting human well-being and the factors on which this well-being depends, including physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and economic well-being, with special attention to young people and children, as well as the protection of the environment.

In addition, the association wants to experiment with communication, financing and entrepreneurial forms. In doing so, it can set up activities aimed at making the general public more familiar and inspired with its objectives, as well as bringing together a specialized public, in Belgium and abroad.

It aims to do this by, among other things, developing projects, workshops and media in various artistic, cultural, communicative and educational fields, including, but not limited to, music, audiovisual arts, visual arts, word arts, theatre, poetry, literature, photography, film, dance, fashion, video art, interactive media.

It can create, record, produce, promote, publish, disseminate and exploit works from the areas derived from its objectives, but also organize and co-organize events, performances, parties and activities of all kinds.

The association wants to be able to provide a meeting place where it can realize this and can support any education and training that contributes in an active, meaningful way to the quality of its artistic, cultural, communicative and educational activities and products.

All actions, including the exploitation of this meeting place, are entirely at the service of the artistic projects and the purpose of the association.

The association can develop all activities that directly or indirectly contribute to the realization of the aforementioned ideal non-profitable objectives, including ancillary commercial and profitable activities within the limits of what is permitted by law and the proceeds of which will at all times be fully allocated to the achievement of the ideal non-profitable objectives.

It can own or acquire all movable property that it needs for the realization of its purpose (such as, among other things, the purchase of musical instruments) and exercise all property rights therein.

In implementation of the above, the association can, among other things, acquire all property or rights in rem, lease, hire out, recruit staff, conclude legally valid agreements, collect funds, in short, carry out or have carried out all activities that justify its purpose.

Subject to the requirements laid down by law, the association may accept all donations among the living or by will and thereby carry out all transactions related to its object. The profits, if any, obtained from an ancillary commercial activity in proportion to the purpose of the association will be allocated exclusively for the execution of its purposes.
